I pull the canvas tight with a special pair of pliers. They have a long flat head. This is the only special tool I own for this job. It is almost essential.
I put one staple in the center of each edge and I pull the canvas tight as I staple it. After I put the four staples in, (one on each side) I should have diamond shaped wrinkle on the front. We'll see!
